Professor Helen Rodd, University of Sheffield, UK.
Professor Rodd has a Chair in Paediatric Dentistry at the School of Clinical Dentistry, University of Sheffield, UK, where she is also the Deputy Director for Teaching and Learning. She has a current national role as a board member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of England and has been a past president of the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry, and scientific chair of IAPD. Her main research interest is on the impact of dental conditions and treatment on children’s psychosocial status as well as the management of dental anxiety using a novel CBT approach. Her research embraces a multi-disciplinary approach with colleagues in social sciences and incorporates both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
In her spare time she enjoys trail running, gardening, cycle touring and baking cakes!
